Dneprov E. Morozova E. Thank you for your readiness to give an interview! Please tell us about your family, childhood and youth. The indigenous Leningrad man can consider myself a stretch.

Parents both came to Leningrad in childhood, the parents of my parents, respectively, in their youth. Both father and mother graduated from the Faculty of Philosophy of Leningrad State University, and the maternal grandmother at this faculty taught before the city Since childhood, he was brought up in the mother’s family. I owe a family and friends of the family to so many, almost all the best in myself.

Thanks to the family and then happily in life in life, I had to communicate in one way or another with many outstanding and even great people, but since I myself am by no means great, this list would be an attempt to enlarge my own personality, which is hardly appropriate. I will limit myself to one adolescent memory. The teacher of my grandmother was Boris Mikhailovich Eichenbaum, with whom in the adolescence and I was lucky to talk.

At the first meeting at the cottage in the then Ust-Narve, I shocked him with the question: in your biography of Lermontov, and I knew it almost by heart saying that Lermontov was easily wounded in a duel with Baranth Lermontov, and in a letter led. Mikhail Pavlovich Lermontov himself writes that the ram has slightly scratched his chest, so how was it really?

Raskin Yuri Biography

Boris Mikhailovich explained to me that in a letter to Grand Duke Lermontov, he had to try to understand the character of a duel. A light scratch looked preferable in this sense. So I received the first in my life and it was then, it seems, 10 years old lesson of source studies. Then - every summer and sometimes during the year I listened to B. Eichenbaum's stories about what he was doing then, and indeed about Russian literature and Russian history.

I was lucky to graduate from the famous Yu School of the Physics and Mathematics Lyceum. All my friends are from there, since those times. The basics of my education, and, most importantly, the unique atmosphere of those school years, I owe teachers and fellow students in school. Especially - the famous school literary club "Scarlet Sails". He put a common imprint on all of us.The school was physical and mathematical, but gave a wide humanitarian education and, most importantly, aroused wide and diverse interests.

It is no accident that graduates are noticeable in all areas of science, art, politicians ... F. The whole atmosphere of the family, all my interests were humanitarian, although my loved ones tried in every possible way to direct me to a technical or natural science direction, but to no avail. I think that I made a firm decision at 8 - 9 years. But at first he wanted to be an archaeologist, attended a circle in the Hermitage, and then at the Histress and even underwent school production practice at the Institute of Archeology.

However, when I participated in the University School Olympiad in the M or M class, I went out the winner in 3 nominations-archeology, Russian history and universal history. But finally, everything was determined only after entering the university. I think that in archeology I would hardly be able to successfully work, since I have been closer to work with texts, and not with objects.

But I was friends with archaeologists at the university, and I am infinitely grateful to Lev Samoilovich Klein for teaching me how many people have to think correctly. As far as I know, this topic was innovative - both for Soviet historical science and for world historiography. Shortly before the defense of the dissertation, the monograph by Gennady Leontyevich Sobolev was an “revolutionary consciousness of workers and soldiers of Petrograd in the city that has prompted you to choose exactly this topic, what influences in your choice you can note the influence of the scientific director, the same book of G.

Sobolev, perhaps, the work of B. Porshnev and his appeal to “Historical Psychology”, or the translation of the book of M. Blok “Apology of History”? And what was your turn connected with the history of state institutions? My teacher Alexander Lvovich Shapiro in the 2nd year of G. And how to indicate the topic-“Class struggle”, “views and representations” or “public consciousness” this was already my choice.

I chose the last option. Porshnev, nor the dear G. Sobolev, especially Mark Blok, whose book in Russian was published later, and in French, I almost did not read this in any way, the book of M. Blok was published in the Russian translation in the city, I believe that this statement of the question was worn in the air. Although, of course, then, in the preparation of the dissertation, I had to get acquainted with philosophical works about the mass “public” consciousness and compose my own idea of this.

Partly innovative in this work of my work, and I worked on the topic from the 2nd year, the use of folklore of proverbs and sayings and the method of analyzing the arguments and the requirements of peasant petitions-I invented something like content-analysis, although even the words did not know then-the matrix of arguments and requirements. Basically, the dissertation was already ready for the year, but due to the problems with the design of the application, the defense took place only in the city and then I realized that I did not have enough opportunities to continue this topic.

But I came to the history of state institutions relatively by accident. The archive has long planned to draw up a reference book or collection of documents on the history of state institutions, but could not find a person who would lead this work.
