Actor Makeev Biography
To share our interlocutor was the actor, founder and artistic director of the “Theater of Taste” Yuri Makeev. The conversation was about family, creativity and faith, as well as about family values in the modern world. We talked about the theater created by Yuri in the village, about who plays in it, and how the life of the family of Moscow actors passes away from the city.
Presenter: Anna Leontyeva A. Leontyeva is a good bright evening. Today Anna Leontyeva is with you. Our guest is Yuri Makeev, the artistic director of the “Theater of Taste”. Good evening, Yuri. Makeev - Good evening, Anna. Leontyeva-Yuri, I wanted to remind our radio listeners that we had already met with you on the Vera radio, but the program that we recorded the latter was, in my opinion, for three years, at least, back.
And we talked about how you took away the family to the village from Moscow. And I remember that this topic for us with Bones Matzan was very unusual - we asked you very surprised how you could do it, how it all happened as you decided. And now you and I are already meeting in some new world, in which no one is surprised that people want to leave, for example, from a big city.
And in this new world I really want to ask you, that's all that, too, and I think that most of the radio listeners, many radio listeners worry after our, so to speak, water discharge of some quarantine, after a new life, after many, in general, tried to leave Moscow, and what happened during this time, what are the discoveries in your life. Because you took the whole wife with you - an actress from the star theater, as you said, and two children, who, as I understand it, have grown up, have grown up Makeev - yes, I will have 14 to my eldest son, daughter 8 years old, there will be 9.
Leontyeva - and, probably, it would be dishonest to say: Yur, well, tell me what happened in three years. Therefore, I divided my questions into some parts. I will make a very small one, I will try to make a very small entry. I, too, three years ago I began to ply between Moscow and a certain county town on the lake and survived a lot during this time, survived, changed a lot of things.
In particular, when I came here three years ago-well, I have to say that there was very little light in this town, it was not so densely densely populated, there was still some darkness, and longer there, I could not stand it for ten days-rushed to Moscow, to the lights, to people, to what is called the movement. And for three years, somehow this period, when I was here, increased, increased.
True, the light in our city increased. And quarantine, probably, finally turned me in the direction of what I began to think: can I live not in a big city, but somewhere in a small town, or maybe even in the village. And you have been living in the village all this time and you probably also have a lot of things to tell. But the first thing that interests me about living in the village - we live in a certain environment, yes, we have friends, we have our environment, the environment is called.
Here is what Wednesday did you take your family three years ago, what was it, what is the name of the Envayronment? Makeev-well, I will start, probably, after all, not even three years, but seven years. Seven years - this will be an exact figure, as we made a decision to move into a blank, almost abandoned village. And she has known us for a long time - since the year, but these three years, which we have not seen each other and, I think that there is probably a record of our interview, and people can listen, this is interesting, this is what happened to us, what transformation happened to us if it happened during this period.
I am grateful, on the one hand, that pandemic, because well, I knew about it, I will say this, yes, I knew that it would most likely be. Well, you know how often it happens in boxing: you know that they will hit you. But you, in theory, seem to be ready for a blow, because it is a box, but when you hit you strongly, you understand that at that moment you were and not ready. That's about this situation, I had a hard year.
Because now we have a light version of the pandemic. But this difficult year - it was a test of me, a family, my case for strength. And those people who surround me - on attention, let's say. Leontyeva - What people surround you now? What Wednesday did you come to? These are some inhabitants of the village, here your children in which company ended up? Makeev - well, generally wonderful people surround me.
In fact, it turns out that a lot of interesting people live around you. And there is, of course, the stereotype, that, relatively speaking, the Russian village, it is filled with such asocial elements that people get drunk, no one needs anything, well, in general, such despondency and, as you said, is not enough light. It is few, literally like this-we have few lanterns, yes, light bulbs, but this year it somehow became really lighter and it also pleases. But we were incredibly surprised, it pleased that amazing people live around us with a difficult fate.
Having met many very close, we realized that right about this person you can write a book, making a film - these are farmers, these are artisans. Amazing people, so we met them, and met thanks to the theater that we started here in the village. We invited people to the performance. Well, at first we came up with, we learned that in our village there is no our holiday, this is the day of the village, yes, we came up with it.
Since we have the village of Petrovka, we thought that this was probably somehow connected with the Day of Peter and Paul and, as it were, with the party on Petrov day or, as it were, Petrovka was once called among the people. And there, in my opinion, on July 12, we have probably been trying to arrange such gatherings at the samovar for five years, we play performances, listen to music, our friends come, some groups, folklore, dramatic actors.
We are simply trying to revive our space around us, to prioritize it a little - in the good sense of the word, such an revival of space - animation. And this has its fruits, and these people, feedback, they are very welcoming, open. And many of them were once the inhabitants of large cities, the Timiryazevo Academies graduated-they are farmers of the first wave, there are a second wave, the children of the farmers who have already left our land, and their children continued.
And their eyes so lit up when we appeared here, because I see that they have some kind of, well, I’m not afraid of this word, an outlet, yes, that you can come to us at least once a month and switch from that routine, work on Earth or in some kind of business. Well, in fact, what we often do in the city when we visit theaters, museums, when we want to get some other food, yes, spiritual food.
And this, of course, is very missing here. Because, despite the fact that there were fragments of cultural houses, which, of course, are there on some unreal people, yes, such, I don’t even know, they are ascetics, not ascetics, well, some kind of life is happening here. But she, of course, leaves much to be desired, because here we have looked, and well, I want to support them, help them and bring here.
Well, they have a lot of the program, you know, Kazenchin, as a piece of paper came somewhere on top, that there should be such an event. This is not because they want to spend, but because they were told from above that you must have an event for such a holiday, and such an event on a piece of paper, as I call it. Leontiev is from some past time, right?
Makeev - well, I think that this is not unique, not connected with our area. I think that it is everywhere, probably in the country. Unfortunately, our phones have stepped forward, we all seemed to have computers, but what is called culture, art, it, unfortunately, did not come here. And people, by inertia, remained in the intercommunication - this is no longer the Soviet period, it is already but I think that there are also, of course, ascetics, wonderful people.
Well, how in any business there is Leontiev - and where - there, what place are you talking about now? Makeev - We are found in the Smolensk region, Temkinsky district. Our village is called Petrovka - it is small, we are in the winter, let’s say, in the non -country season, about thirty people here probably live a maximum. Moreover, until recently, a person lived twenty.
And here are the last three years we have a great joy - two families have settled for us, now another family is being completed, we will have ten children on the street - this was no longer more than thirty years in the village. Leontyeva is wow. Well, are these families who also left the cities? Makeev - well, everyone has a different fate. They are someone from here, from these places, but once left for the capital, received an education and decided to become a metropolitan resident.
And well, having tasted all the fruits of city life, but apparently, the holidays returned back to their homeland, and something clicked there inside them. Because they returned and became not just such passive residents who: well, I will live there on Earth. No, they are very active, indifferent, they are trying to study with children - there were campaigns, sports, opened a search detachment, registered.
Because we have a place of combat and glory, and feat, and in fact a lot of grief, because our land here, unfortunately, still keeps warriors in ourselves. Surely their relatives are still looking for them. And recently, on May 9, it happened just a miracle in the village: a man from Lugansk arrived, he, as if his father, was looking for his father, it turns out, this is a grandson.
Already at the age, he is about 60 years old, and he found the grave of his father, while when he rode there for one and a half thousand kilometers, he was told that there was no village. And well, most likely he will come in a field or a forest, and he needs to put there this memorial to his grandfather. And he arrived-and we have a performance dedicated to the war here, and actors from St.
Petersburg play on tour. We have more than a hundred people guests, we have well -groomed graves. Well, in general, we fed him, drunk and even gave him overnight. And he was very surprised, and his companion, she was generally shocked simply from what was happening here, did not expect this. In general, we have interesting things here, I will not embellish them, yes, anything happens, here living people live.
I will not say that one hundred percent here are such people, you know, welcoming, open, but there are a lot of them here. And therefore, I think that the land is actually, it has stolen in case of caring, hardworking people who loves, believes, family. Because on earth you can live only with a family, or be a monk. Leontyeva - Let me remind you that today we are talking about a family with Yuri Makeev, the artistic director of the "Theater of Taste".
In the last conversation, you told us that you did not take away the family from civilization, but brought them to the civilization that disappears. And now from your story I hear that you, your family have taken upon yourself, well, I am not afraid of this word, some kind of function of the revival of cultural and mental life. Makeev - well, this is from the tasks and goals that I set for myself.
Because it is not just we physically changed geography, yes, I have a dream.
