Biography of Falkovsky
The path of the leaders of the militants of the North Caucasus began with socio-economic problems, which they were mistakenly transferred to a religious plane, the author of the book "Shock Drinks" against Putin "publicist Ilya Falkovsky, who has been exploring the problem of terrorism for many years. In two parts of the book of Falkovsky, presented in Moscow, the biographies of Russian nationalists and a row of North Caucasus and a row of North Caucasus are collected The militants, as well as the articles of Alexander Falkovsky on the topic of modern Russian extremism: one of the goals of creating the book was the destruction of some myths around her heroes.
At the end of October, during the festival of activist art "Mediaudar" also in Moscow. The book is dedicated to modern Russian extremists. The idea of the book appeared a long time ago, and he began with the biography of the ideologist of the militants who was killed in March in Ingushetia, the Imrat of the Caucasus, Said Buryat, notes Ilya Falkovsky. He followed his activities for a long time, he seemed to me an interesting preacher and writer.
Then he went to the Caucasus and led to the militants. What happened to him? From the underground he continued to write, became a unique householder of forest life from the inside. And at the same time he took up the weapon. Was this metamorphosis a logical continuation of his activity, to what extent it is due to external circumstances? I wanted to figure it out impartially, without losing anyone and without embellishing anything, ”Ilya Falkovsky told the Caucasian Knot correspondent.
He notes that he was then interested in the personality of one of the leaders of Kabardino -Balkaria Azor Astemirov killed in March, began to write about him. But I wanted to understand what was in the opposite side. The lawyer Stanislav Markelov Stanislav Markelov represented the interests of the victims in a high -profile case about the murder of a resident of Chechnya Elsa Kungaeva, for which Yuri Budanov was convicted, and actively achieved the abolition of the court to liberate Budanov - approx.
As a result, according to him, the idea of a wide description of the modern terrorist underground was born - from Caucasian to Russian nationalist. Both lines - the “Russian” and “Islamist” - merge in the biography of the group of young people suspected of a number of attacks on police officers in Primorye in the period from February to June, called “Primorsky Partisans”, was liquidated on June 11 in Ussuriysk.
Then several members of the group were detained, two were killed. Currently, in Vladivostok there is a trial over the detained participants in the group.
The investigation accuses them of more than 30 crimes, including the murder of police officers. The criminal case has more than 50 volumes. Said Buryat, say, was quite Russians before he moved to the Caucasus, Ruslan Odizhev, one of the leaders of the armed underground of Kabardino-Balkaria, Ruslan Odizhev, who was kept on the American military base of Guantanamo and was wanted on suspicion of participating in Nalchik in October of the year, was killed in a special operation on June 27.
As for the goals of the book, there were several of them, according to Falkovsky. Speaking specifically about the "Caucasian" part of the biographies, the author indicates, he sought to show not abstract militants, but living people, to create their portraits and tell what brought them, more precisely, to the point that they picked up the machine guns and the "Huttabki". For obvious reasons, they themselves write a little, in the Dagestan or Chechen media, this is generally a taboo topic, and Russian specialists are usually busy with other problems.
What is published from one side or the other is mainly propaganda. So for me it was important on the basis of documentary material to try to recreate the picture of what was actually happening, ”said Ilya Falkovsky. Another goal of creating the book, according to him, was to destroy some myths born around its heroes. He, first of all, was interested in people who changed themselves through a psychological fracture.
One way or another, they did not appear, part of our society, they did not appear. From the outside, and formed among us, here and now "are the same as you and I, people of humanitarian professions, who destroyed themselves and built again in accordance with their new ideology. I wanted to understand what made them sacrifice their and other people's lives. Among the heroes are scientists Yasin Rasulov, a graduate student of the Department of Religious University of Dagestan University, a journalist of the Dagestan weekly "New Delo" Makhach Yasin Rasulov, who was killed during a special operation in Makhachkala in the year, whom the security forces called the ideologist of Dagestan militants - approx.
Mantayev was a candidate of political sciences, defended the thesis "Wahhabism and the political situation in Dagestan."Killed during a special operation in October. All of them from studying books and sermons switched to the path of terror. One way or another, terrorists are part of our society, they did not appear from the outside, but formed among us, here and now, ”says Falkovsky.
In his opinion, in order to better understand what is happening in society, it is worth understanding the motives of the terrorists, to find out the chain of which events forced them to go to the terror. Both Russian and Caucasian militants call similar reasons for their actions - excessive repressions - excessive reasons law enforcement agencies, corruption and clanity in power, high unemployment, alcoholism, "both Russian and Caucasian militants call similar causes of their actions - excessive repressions of law enforcement agencies, corruption and clan in power, high unemployment, alcoholism.
All these are issues lying in the socio-economic area. But, dreaming of social equality, they mistakenly translate the solution of these issues from the social plane into national or religious, and their socialism, merging with nationalism in some and Islam in others, eventually turns into national socialism or salafism. All this is something in common that I managed to isolate, but I wanted to trace how, in each case, this general is superimposed on the personality of a particular person.
Therefore, I chose such a biographical genre, ”the author of the book emphasized. The compilation of biographies, according to him, was in several stages. The first of them was the collection of materials, among which were books dedicated to Sufism, which made it possible to understand the background of the discrepancies between representatives of Sufism and Salafism in the Caucasus, interviews with the natives of the Caucasus, the materials of the media, these media, including sites supporting the sites that support the sites supporting The militants, the community, press releases, articles, sermons, calls.
Sometimes you get the information literally bit by bit, one hundred pages of the studied materials are spilled into just one verified phrase. But all the same, as I write in the introduction, some mistakes and gaps are probably left-after all, these characters lived or live in recent times, a lot is so far covered with darkness, and the facts that fell into my hands from criminal cases often cannot be trusted.
Everyone knows how this information is obtained, ”Ilya Falkovsky added. As for reading interests, then, according to the author, he could judge this from the two presentations of the book - at the Media Guard festival and the Phanster bookstore. But, it seems to me, it depends on the audience. In my personal opinion, interest in the Russian part should be more. After all, it seems to many that the Caucasus is with his Caucasus with his Caucasus with his Caucasus with his Caucasus.
The problems are far from us. These are victims of the mythologization existing in the society, ”Ilya Falkovsky emphasized. Author: Semyon Chalk.
