Lev Vasilievich Ivanov Biography

He died on October 1. Today, the name of the artist Leo Ivanov is virtually forgotten. They recall him only in connection with actress Evgenia Khanaeva, with whom he had a long -term novel. At the same time, no one talks about Ivanov as a beautiful deep artist who went an interesting creative path. He took his first steps in art at the Chamber Theater under the command of Alexander Yakovlevich Tairov, who had a great influence on him as an actor.

Then followed the long fruitful period of work in Vilnius, the many first roles, the receipt of the title of People's Artist of the Lithuanian SSR, moving to Moscow, serving the scene of the art theater, and the role in the cinema. All this can not help but take into account. Those who are trying to belittle Ivanov as a creative person and come to the forefront only to his connection with Khanaeva are deeply mistaken.

There were films, television peppers, looking at which you can easily understand that Lev Vasilievich was an interesting, versatile actor. And his personal fate deserves a separate study. As part of this short essay, I will try to tell the main stages of his life, which to this day have remained unknown. His father Vasily Ivanovich, by profession, an engineer, before the revolutionary events of the year, worked at the Kolberg factory, then at the All -Russian General Staff, Moscow Communal Economy, the Main Directorate of Highways of the NKVD, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the Moscow Authorities.

A wonderful auto mechanic, he enjoyed great respect, was constantly in demand, which allowed him to make good money and provide his family. Being good, Vasily Ivanovich lived all his life with his wife-disabled, who needed constant attentive care. Anna Uvarovna, due to the injury received in her youth, developed heavy thrombophlebitis, disfiguring her legs. She constantly lived in painkillers, transferred thirty -two operations, hardly moved on crutches.

At the same time, she gave birth to her husband five children who even more rallied their indestructible family happiness. Leo was the third child. After him, two sisters were born - Iraid and Margarita, the age difference between which was sixteen years. To the birth of the last child, Anna Uvarovna decided on the advice of doctors who, thus, promised to relieve her condition. However, the miracle did not happen, but there were beautiful children.

The eldest daughter Zoya was married to the military and met a war in Brest: her husband died, and she came to Moscow in her arms with a child. Subsequently lived in Riga, then in Feodosia. The fate of the second son, Nikolai, is tragic, he died in childhood from illness. The penultimate, Iraida, painted and awl well, worked for some time an artist to paint fabrics.

She became a good wife, the mother of three children. The younger Margarita was small in stature, with a defect in posture, while beloved by all his relatives. She had no children, but she was realized in the profession, became a good metallurgist, worked all her life at the Saturn air factory under the leadership of academician A. Lev Ivanov at the end of the eight-year-old in the year entered the Factory Plutory School of the FZU at the 1st Sharik Podshipnik Plant, graduated from it and remained working at the same plant as a roommate.

A year later, he decided to change the mechanical work that unconnected his work to his creative element that was more consonant to his heart. In the year, Ivanov withstood the entrance tests to the Studio of the Chamber Theater and was adopted among its students. In parallel, he began to study at the evening acting department of the Institute for Advanced Studies of Arts of Arts at the CCP, who graduated in M, a year after the studio.

As an artist-practical, Ivanov began to enter the stage of the chamber Theater from the second year, and in the year he was accepted into the main composition of the troupe. Here he came into contact with the remarkable craftsmen who made up the main backbone of the theater: Aliso Konen, Sergei Tsenin, Nikolai Chaplygin, Ivan Alexandrov, Nikolai Novlyansky, Viktor Ganshin, Vyacheslav Novikov, played with them in the same performances.

By the beginning of the war, there were already about ten roles on his track record. Among them: Ryaba “Optimistic tragedy” by V. MDivani, Nadir “Honor” by G. MDivani, Nikolai Nosar “Kochubey” A. Perevertsev, Prikhodko “Full Bet” BR. Tour and L. Sheinin, Theodore "Madame Bovari" according to G. Flaubertu, Fernando “The deceived deceiver” by R. Sheridan and others.

When fascist Germany attacked the country of Soviets, Lev Vasilievich, without hesitation, went to the military enlistment office to get into the ranks of the defenders of the Motherland. And this is despite the fact that on the eve of June 30, he married actress Maria Militsa Fedorovna Germeva - at that moment everything personal has faded into the background.

Like everyone around, Ivanov sought to help the Fatherland. At first he served in a m -reserve infantry regiment, then at the Army Theater at the mortar school of the city of Arzamas. There, wanting to be closer to her husband, she came to work in an evacle testing methodologist in physiotherapy and Maria Germeva. So, in fact, side by side, they went through the war together. In April, Leo Ivanov was transferred to Moscow as a member of the Central Theater of the Red Army, where he met a victory.

After demobilization in October, Lev Ivanov was invited to the newly organized Russian Drama Theater in Vilnius, where he went with his wife Maria Germeva. In parallel, Ivanov felt the soil regarding the return to the chamber Theater. The letters to him by Nikolai Chaplygin were preserved, in which he notified that Alexander Tairov was ready to take him and Germany back to the troupe.

But while negotiations lasted, their position in Vilnius strengthened, and they did not risk the successes achieved. And, as history showed, they did not lose. The chamber theater was closed in the year, its artists scattered in different theaters. Ivanov and Germany very successfully played on the stage of the Vilnius Theater. Lev Vasilievich actually behaved a repertoire, showing himself in different role-from a social hero to a hero-lover.

Maria Fedorovna was famous for beautiful characteristic roles, knew how to find funny and eccentric in every image. For sixteen years, about three dozen roles have been played by Lev Ivanov. Among them: Nekhomov in the “without guilt of the guilty” by A. Ostrovsky, the gentleman of the Ripprath in the “Mistress of the Hotel” by K. Goldoni, Harry Smith in the “Russian Question” K. Simonov, Colonel Kuzmin in the “Governor of the Province” of Br.

Tour, Zhadov in the "profitable place" of A. Ostrovsky, Manuel in the "Lady-invisible" P. Kalderon, Schwandya in Lyubov Yarova K. Treyneva, Theodoro in the “Dog on the Shen” by L. Shakespeare, the boss in the “Elet” according to E. Wojnich, Cherkun in the “barbarians” by M. Gorky, Lavretsky in the “noble nest” according to I. Turgenev, Aesop in the “fox and grapes” G. Figiedo and many others.

In the year for the performance of Bakhirev’s role in the play “Battle on the way” according to the novel, G. also during the period when the main director was absent in the theater, Lev Vasilievich performed his duties. He was delivered: “The Lady-invisible” by P. Kalderon, “Spring in Moscow” by V. Gusev and “Brownie” E. Also, the actor was engaged in social activities: he was elected the secretary of the Party Bureau of the theater, a member of the Plenum of the Gorcom, a deputy of the City Council.

If the creative life of Leo Ivanov took shape with growing success, then personal life proceeded rather painfully and problematic. Already at the end of the year. Maria Fedorovna began to show addiction to alcohol, which over time resulted in serious addiction. Hidden schizophrenia was added to this, which at first was not pronounced. While Germany was working in the theater, no one noticed her ailment.

And after, when the couple already moved to Moscow, for everyone around them, including the closest, everything was always fine with them. Lev Vasilievich did not let anyone into his private life, leaving family problems behind the closed door. And to worry, apparently, was about. The absence of children due to unsuccessful abortion, which is more strongly showing the strangeness of the spouse, for which constant supervision was now required, overshadowed the happy course of Ivanov’s life.

Therefore, when he had an unexpected romance with a young and beautiful wife of a famous musician in Vilnius, he did not resist him. Their relationship lasted several years and ended with the birth of a child. Since Alice was a married lady, her husband recorded a newborn girl. Later, their family, along with her daughter, emigrated to Israel, but on this her communication with Ivanov did not end.

They corresponded. The last letter came from it after the death of Leo Vasilyevich - a photograph of a beautiful young woman with two sons was included in him. These were Lev Ivanov’s grandchildren. Maria Germeva knew about his novel, but never publicly spoke out on this topic.

Lev Vasilievich Ivanov Biography

In the spring of the year, Lev Vasilievich received a tempting proposal to go to the troupe of the Moscow Art Theater. I think he was well aware of all the pitfalls of this step, but, nevertheless, he decided to leave the Vilnius Theater and actually go into the unknown.
