Rokossov facts of biography
Konstantin Rokossovsky was no exception. So, the marshal always indicated in the questionnaires the wrong year and place of birth, and he preferred to be silent about the real profession of his father.
The date of birth even many modern sources indicate the wrong date of birth of Konstantin Rokossovsky. So, the publication "Heroes of Russia" Author Yuri Lubchenkov says that Marshal was born in the year. Despite the fact that Konstantin Konstantinovich, Vladimir Daines, author of Rokossovsky, insisted on the mentioned date. Soldier's marshal ”, claims that the military leader was born 2 years earlier.
As evidence, Danes gives the text of the order according to the 5th Dragoon Kargopol Regiment, which Rokossovsky entered the year: “It seemed that it would not be worth excluding the fact that the person who drawn up this document could make a mistake. However, historian Boris Sokolov claims that there is no mistake here. In his book "Rokossovsky", Sokolov writes that Konstantin Konstantinovich could not physically be born in the year.
The fact is that Marshal had a younger sister, Helena. On the grave plate of Helena Rokossovskaya is: "". Brother and sister could not be born in the same year. Unless, of course, they were not twins or twins. That's just, according to Boris Sokolov, in this case, the son was supposed to linger in his mother’s womb for more than 4 months: Helena was born in August, and Konstantin in December.
The reason for changing the date of birth Vladislav Kardashov, who wrote one of the first biographies of Konstantin Rokossovsky, was sure that the Marshal called the wrong date of his birth in order to hide another deception. Rokossovsky’s desire to get into the 5th Dragoon Kargopol regiment was so great that he put for himself 2 extra years. According to Kardashov, they then took the army at the summer.
However, the so -called hunters, that is, those who, at their own free will, joined the military ranks before the achievements of conscription age, were accepted from 20 years. The place of birth and the reasons for its change are nevertheless, biographers continue to indicate a year as the date of Rokossovsky’s birth. So Vladislav Artemov in the publication "Great Names of Russia" writes that the Marshal was born this year.
However, Artemov claims that the city of Konstantin Konstantinovich is the city of the Great Luke, which also does not correspond to reality. At least this is confident in Yuri Rubtsov, the author of the book “Marshals of Stalin”. Rubtsov gives an excerpt from the Autobiography of Rokossovsky. He wrote: "Born in the city of Warsaw in the year." As you can see, the date of birth has already been changed, but the place of birth is not yet.
Why did Rokossovsky need such a conspiracy? One of the versions was proposed by the grandson of the military leader. The descendant of the marshal claims that twice the heroes of the Soviet Union, which was Rokossovsky, was supposed to be the installation of a bust. Usually the monument was placed in the hero’s homeland. However, the Polish authorities probably would not like a demonstration of dependence on the USSR.
Therefore, the birthplace of Konstantin Konstantinovich was changed. Perhaps the choice fell on the Great Luke due to the fact that there was once the estate of the Rokossovsky, distant relatives of the military leader. Infusal ancestors, however, the connection of the hero of the Soviet power with the barons was probably not too convenient, and for Rokossovsky himself.
Therefore, genuine reasons for changing the place of birth remained unknown. However, there is evidence that Marshal really hid information about his ancestors. According to Alexander Pyaltsyn in his book “Truth about the Street Bbits”, in the X years, Rokossovsky changed the uncomfortable Polish patronymic of Ksavlevich to more Russian Konstantinovich. However, according to Lyubtsian, there is no riddle in this.
The fact is that in Russian “Ksaverievich” was often written as “Savelyevich”. But his father Rokossovsky was really shy. At least, it is precisely such a conclusion that can be drawn by tracking the actions of the marshal. Anatoly Korolchenko, author of the book “Rokossovsky” gives literally an autobiography of Konstantin Konstantinovich, who emphasized his proletarian origin by all means.
Meanwhile, as noted in his book “The Great Russian Commanders and Navy Premier Media”, Alexander Ermakov and Vladimir Krasunov, at the time of the birth of his son, Rokossovsky Sr. worked on the Warsaw railway by an auditor, that is, he was an employee, and not at all a worker.
