About the team, repertoire and secrets of the popularity of the theater - our conversation with its chief director Alexander Goncharuk.

Actors are Alexander Anatolyevich, you are an honored artist of Russia. When did you decide to organize your theater? I also thought: someday I will have my own theater. The moment came when I wanted to change everything, turn over in my life, profession. There was a thirst for creative freedom. After all, your theater means that you yourself choose plays, gain a team and create something that is not yet in the city.

I did not have a clear organizational plan, everything happened spontaneously.

The theater in the sanatorium "Dawn" was proposed by the director of Natela Olegovna Polezhaeva. Many considered it madness - during the years of crisis, open the theater. When we started in the year, 99 percent of our friends said that no one would go here. I myself, frankly, did not think about a global scale, that we would create some kind of great theater.

Today we have a full house, awards, invitations to festivals, foreign trips. In December last year, we showed 46 performances in full halls. Of course, without the support of Natela Olegovna, all this would be impossible. She loves the theater madly. Working together with her is very comfortable: our views in the field of theatrical art, in matters of the repertoire, completely coincide.

What, in your opinion, are the features of working with young artists? I play the guitar, and they try, I began to engage in fitness, the guys too. The most important thing is to find the general topics that young people are sick now. So, for example, the play “Frantic Guys” arose, which enjoys incredible success. The children are prepared by the best specialists of Omsk.

In the rehearsal and assembly halls of the sanatorium, teachers, artists, and psychologists are engaged in them. Among them V. Trastashvili is the choreographer of the Youth Theater, V. Korfidov is an actor of the Drama Theater. The Kremlin is conducting stage speech, I am acting. He staged almost all the last performances together with Anna Babanova, the director of the drama.

The guys also have the opportunity to go to the pool, engage in oriental martial arts, fitness. What are you guided by when choosing drama? I want my performances to be interesting and defiant, young and impudent. Nobody denies classical performances, but in the city a lot of theaters put them. For me, the main thing is novelty. The opinion of Anna Babanova is very important to me. The idea of ​​“frantic guys” and “cuckoo” belongs to her.

Mark Zakharov all the time asked the question: “What will we surprise? In “Frantic Guys”, this is the topic of the disorder of our life, the problem of personality lack of demand. The guy turns out to be “overboard” - he is fired from the factory. How can he be? In the play I am trying to answer questions that are exciting young people. At the same time, to give everything fun, without the edification that they do not like, is also the “focus” through blood and meat - to the dream and faith - what is the idea of ​​the theater, the main directorial concept?

Moreover, romance is combined with naturalness, realism of action. This is meat, blood, but at the same time faith. Faith in the exclusivity of each person. After all, a person is born to do something special in life, to fulfill his mission. No matter where he works, he opened his talent or not. I try to open what a person guesses about, but cannot express. And the theater expresses this.

And the viewer thinks: this is about me, this is what I miss if I knew that my theater is being created to deprive a person of faith, to dip him in depression, I would never do this. Goncharuk Theater-Studio is the theater of joy and light, romance and humor, avant-garde and mixing traditions. We have people who like to fly. They rise above the bustle, dream and fantasize - to give a person hope that he forget about his problems, unemployment, crisis and is not afraid to dream.

Draw a portrait of the viewer. Playing in the drama, I got used to the fact that the viewer is listening carefully. In my theater, this did not happen right away. We made several performances and decided to raise the price of tickets. As a result, the youth who goes to the theater with chips and “Baby” went away. Today in the repertoire of production for different generations - for adolescents and for young people from twenty years.

The play "Wonderful alloy" is for the older generation, but many young people also go to it. What are the first achievements? There, the play “Love of Don Perlimplin” received a Grand Prix and diplomas in five nominations. Then trips abroad followed, prizes at festivals in Hungary, Germany, Latvia, Slovakia. As the most promising youth team at the Kolyada-Plays festival, the theater-studio was awarded a prize with the symbolic name “Hope”.

The architectural company has already prepared a layout. The theater, in which the whole city seeks to get into the tickets in which the queues are lined up at night, the performances are coming with the Angels - this is my dream.Now we are preparing Shakespeare Romeo and Juliet, “flying over the cuckoo’s nest” and Keni Kizi and the performance, connecting the plays and the early stories of Chekhov.

In these works, the apocalyptic notes of our lives will sound - the destruction of traditions, leaching of roots. What for you, as an actor and director, is a scene? The scene is life, air.
