He did not force the events, he did everything very calmly, reliably, for conscience. He did not give out rash promises, but if he promised, he was sure.

From the first steps of their professional activity, those human qualities that bribed others showed great respect and trust in his students were manifested in his work. Even becoming a famous coach, he saved them for life. It is possible that they were the key to his success. He taught us to see the mistakes of others and be able to correct them with ourselves, through comprehension and awareness of each stage. He paid great attention to the correct execution of movements on the principle of didactics, from simple to complex, and sometimes vice versa. His jumps were supposed to be performed at speed, at a maximum push and technically correctly.

He did not like the elements if there was no flight. He sought from athletes such a jump as he demanded, and not as the athlete wanted.He did not miss any little things, he himself showed every nuance, movement of arms, head, legs, body and during a push, and in flight, and in landing. And the most important thing for him was - the conscious, meaningful fulfillment of a particular element on his own sensations.

Athletes of Gennady Sergeyevich were distinguished by very good equipment. He always paid a lot of attention to the sliding of his pupils, to the quality of their rotations. Never raised his voice. It was laconic. But the guys understood him well. I tried to be on equal terms with the children, but always observed the distance. He had no favorites. He treated all children the same.

At least they thought so. He was a demanding coach, but at the same time was soft, responsive, understanding any situation, a person. I always came to the rescue, if necessary.
