About people like my hero, they say that they are not from this world. But at all times, all peoples were respectful of them, which was reflected in myths, legends and fairy tales. Orpheus, Sadko, Asamaz about one such hero, I intend to remind readers.
This is Asker Mahmudov. Surely representatives of the older generation know him well. Perhaps many noticed that his songs did not sound for a long time. And someone, like me, missed his work humanly. Now people like him are called sex symbols, but then there were no such terms, it was simply clear that it was a bright, extraordinary artist. It is piece, separate and even mysterious for me.
There are no such in the current show business. Probably, we can talk about his ruthless attitude towards myself, but this asker as I perceive it allows you to remain myself. What could be more important? Asker's biography as a musician began with a letter to Muslim Magomaev, whose voice sounded in those days from all radio and television receivers, tape recorders and players.
And in this letter of a very young boy who already knew who he would become in the future, two amazing features of his character are visible, which he managed to carry through his whole life. The letter began with the phrase: “Sorry if I distract you from important matters. That is how: the congenital aristocratic delicacy and devotion to art determined the fate of Asker Makhmudov.
Russia [Email Protected]. I listened for a long time while I wrote and combed this text. Asker owned an amazing voice: deep, delicate, voluminous. He glows, his singing is not a demonstration of skill, as is now accepted, but a way to talk to us about love. He intonates so elegant and organically that it is difficult to remain indifferent, listening to him.
I can not name any of the modern pop artists who own such a manner. The niche occupied by Asker, remained unfilled. Is it by chance? Of course not. Nowadays, such delicacy on the stage and in life is almost impossible: we have become more rude and pragmatic, so asker remains unique. The preserved clips with his participation now seem naive and not particularly reliable in terms of special effects that we are already used to, but in the performance of Asker and now it is impossible not to feel amazing warmth.
And now, to all this lost magic of simplicity and honesty, nostalgia is mixed along the streets of Ordzhonikidze, not overloaded with transport, by simple and memorable melodies the first time, according to which neither vulgarity nor empathetic smells. Asker Makhmudov for me is a generational phenomenon, a nostalgic image, symbolizing for me and a lost great country, and nobility with dignity, today out of use.
In an interview, he said that in the famous Gnesinka, where Asker studied in the vocal class, the teacher called him a Magomachic for some distant external similarity. And I would not compare him with Magomaev, he, in my opinion, is much more brutal. In Asker, there has always been and is now something fragile, crystal. It is impossible to imagine him in a typical Magomayev pose, when he, as if squeezing his legs wide, pressed into the ground something important with his spread, intense fingers, is impossible.
Asker behaved on the stage softly, calmly, touching. I quite understand why Vysotsky liked to tour with him: in addition to a pleasant extra -estimated communication, they shaded each other, contrasted. For several years, Makhmudov worked with Vysotsky in tandem. Then Vladimir Semenovich was not allowed to perform in Solo mode, and he went with pleasure around the country with Asker.
The first department of the concert is Makhmudov, the second is Vysotsky. Asker never seemed arrogant, but the pan -science, according to my feelings, would not have allowed.It felt an internal stern that does not allow a person to compromise with his own conscience. And Vladimir Semenovich could not not appreciate this, because he himself was the same. What did communication with the Great Bard mean to Makhmudov?
I don’t know for sure, but I always thought that, firstly, this testified to the ability of Asker, a person of a creative profession, to a feat of real friendship, which sometimes allows to retreat, to move away to skip a friend and a colleague forward. Secondly, participation in the tour with Vysotsky demanded real courage in those days: Vladimir Semenovich was in hard disgrace, the proximity to him could not but affect his career negatively.
And Makhmudov, of course, realized this. But he did not go aside. They were really friendly, truly, although Asker does not particularly like to share information about this period of his life. Probably, there are reasons for that, and why take part in gossip about the last years of Vysotsky’s life, which is wrong if we want to preserve a bright memory of him. Somehow it is not “in Askovo”.
The style is different. So he protects his friendship with Vysotsky even after so many years of his absence in this world. Now many have a career that they tell how they sneezed, coughed or heard a few words from him, and Asker, who speaks of his exceptional nobility, did not betray him after the death of Vladimir Semenovich either: he did not parasitize on someone else's glory. Honestly, using someone is not about Asker at all: he is exquisitely aristocratic.
Is there a mercantile time in our every sense, when the grayness has come out of the shores on concert venues, such a deep, worthy, real fidelity to friendship? It seems not. He later received the title of People's Artist of the Republic. The company "Melody" released eight of its solo records, two giant disks. His last tour was associated with Yuri Antonov.
Such a musical circle of communication. Impressive! And he starred in musical television and films: “Alan”, “when they sing in Ordzhonikidze”, “Golden Wedding”; He took part in the “wider circles”, “morning post”, “with a song in life” popular in Soviet times. Asker always had enough nobility so as not to fight for a “place under the sun” either on the stage or in life, so as not to become a predator, ready for everything for the next step up the career ladder.
And for this reason, in my opinion, he was so offended by the offensive on TV screens and on radio. In the same style, intelligent, not very modern, tactful, Asker completely left the stage. On time or not, this is his decision. Probably, it was not easy, but absolutely certain that his departure from the big stage looked very worthy, like everything he did. He was the favorite of all Ossetia.
But the point is not in all these names, titles and valor, but that my hero successfully, easily and without loss passed fire, water and, most surprisingly, copper pipes, remaining a clean, sincere, noble person. He did not lose a drop of congenital self -esteem, did not sink to vulgarity, never allowed himself small gossip, large scandals, the whole abomination that tonses from the screens of televisions from "public" people today.
He did not become a "public" person. He still understands that he is a national artist, that this is still responsible, therefore he remains a responsive, generous, deeply decent person and a big musician, whose songs are sure, will find the way to us, will break through and will be in demand by those who could solidarize with. Valentin Gaft, whose lines, dedicated to Yuri Vizbor, we placed at the very beginning, redirecting them to Asker Makhmudov, who sang about how they went in the mountains of avalanches when they sing in Ordzhonikidze; about how small jigit will grow soon; The fact that somewhere the melody, picked up by youth, sounds, and this becomes significant even for eternal nature.
